Field note / Oakland Community garden
“We didn't need another outside program. We needed someone to trust the plan we already had.”

02 — Volunteer

Show up. Stay useful.

Roles are vetted by site leads, paired with training, and range from a Saturday morning to a six-month residency. No prior experience required unless noted.

03 — Spring campaign

Plant 6,000 trees before the rains stop.

Every dollar funds a seedling, a steward's hour, and five years of follow-up care. We don't plant what we can't protect.
